![]() ![]() But the issue is that because the storage chest is full automatically due to my mall, the bots will not deposit it into the chest because I have the other stock slots blocked off (marked with a X). I have my yellow belt chest limited to 1x stack size because i dont want my mall to keep a buffer for thousands of yellow belts when only 1 stack is needed as a buffer for my red belts. What kind of chests should I use? Currently I was thinking of setting up filtered storage chests (a storage chest for coal ore or iron ore or iron plate, etc).īut I don't know how to solve the problem in #2. but I want it to return the yellow belts into the yellow belt chest as part of my mall so that it recycled into red belts. For example -> Coal ore is picked up from my trash slot and deposited into a chest that is marked "only for coal ore" and re-inserted onto a mining platform or something to add it back into my main bus.Īs I upgrade my belts from yellow to red, currently it deposits all the yellow belts and the coal into the storage chests I have setup as just a catch all junk chest. Normally a robot flies to the nearest roboport to recharge. When the charging-queue for the bots gets too long, the bots (and their loads) will slow down. I want to set it up so if I put in into my trash slots in my inventory, the bots will pick it up from my inventory and deposit it in the correct box that is dedicated just to that material. Generally, a roboport can charge between 50 and 70 bots per min, 4 at a time, but are not very efficient at charging large queues of bots and can quickly become overworked. ![]() I often pickup trash in my inventory like random ores, or iron plates I accidently picked up while trying to pick up other things. What I want to accomplish is the following: ![]() My setup has your standard factorio mall making inserters, belts, etc + main bus
